The medium-sized receptacle was constructed circa 1930 and features a separate lid that still fits snugly on the can and two handles.

The trash can was manufactured by the Wheeling Steel Corporation in Wheeling, West Virginia. It was salvaged from a former industrial plant near Charleston, West Virginia.
