In 1975, Charles Maclean founded the Tahquamenon Artesian Well Water Company in the former school. 2 The company filtered water from an aquifer near the headwaters of the Tahquamenon River in the Hiawatha National Forest, which contained only 149 parts per million of total dissolved solids, making it one of the purest waters in the United States. After the business failed, Maclean leased the property and bottling equipment to Jim Anderson in 1992. 1
Yes, the building is for sale. I visited it recently and no one has purchased it yet. Contact North Coast Realty and ask for Fred Dunkeld 906-293-3900. Make an offer.
Intrested in buying does anyone know if it is for sale
I have someone who is interested in purchasing the building and it’s facilities for producing artesian water.
