Abandoned businesses in Ohio reflect the state’s changing economic landscape.

Mark Motors

East Liverpool was home to Mark Motors, a Chrysler, Plymouth, Mercury, and Lincoln automobile dealership, and later operated as East Liverpool Chrysler Plymouth. Established in 1976, the business was last owned by Basil Mangano and Jim Raimond, 2 who operated it until 1998. 3 After its closure, Mangano stored a red 1967 Plymouth Fury and a blue 1978 Plymouth Fury, and later a 1980 Chrysler Cordoba, inside the showroom with 35 to 40 classic cars in the annex behind it, including a Chevrolet LUV, a Dodge Warlock, and a Red Express.

Mangano sold the building and his car collection around 2010, 3 and died in 2012.
