The Knox County Infirmary, located in central Ohio, caught fire on June 26, 2015. Eight fire and medic departments responded to the scene. Because of the structural stability of the building, firefighters did not enter the building.
The infirmary served the infirm from the 1840s until the 1950s before it was reused as a bible college until 1988.

The opportunity to photograph an significant industrial site in danger of being demolished is quite infrequent, as most sites are inaccessible for reasons of security, reluctant owners or property managers, or liability. But collected into a corner at Lisbon and Evins streets in Cleveland, Ohio, at the junction of the Cleveland & Pittsburg Railroad and the New York, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad (Nickel Plate), was a sundry of businesses that made an impact on Cleveland’s history, growth and influence.
With much thanks to Downtown Mansfield Inc. and Preservation Ohio, hundreds were able to enjoy learning more about Mansfield, Ohio’s history and were given the opportunity to tour five sites within walking distance, including City Mills – the first leg in this five part series.
