Dry Fork Bridge

The Dry Fork Bridge carried the Red Creek Turnpike (today’s WV CR 32/8) over Red Creek in Dry Fork, West Virginia.

The Dry Fork Bridge was constructed in 1903 by the Brackett Bridge Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. 1 The pin-connected Pratt through truss served the Red Creek Turnpike between Parsons and Davis. Much of the Red Creek Turnpike was incorporated into modern-day WV Route 32, with this bridge bypassed with a new alignment in 1934. The 1903-era bridge was repaired in 1972, 1978, 1982, and 1985.

The Dry Fork Bridge was bypassed and closed to traffic in 1992.
